The key features in iScrapbook are the ability to digitally preserve personal and/or family memories in this web-based digital scrapbook, which includes a variety of wallpapers, templates, and backgrounds to help the users create a rich visual experience. Each paper, photo, or embellishment exists on its own layer in your document, and you can reposition them at your discretion. The ease of dragging in your photos from i-photo right on the site is amazing. The ability for iScrappers to self-publish their finished layouts to be stored in scrapbook albums or have the books professionally printed in hard bound books to be saved as keepsakes is a great feature.
I have never scrapbooked before so when I first downloaded it I did not have a clue where to start. I looked all over that first page was quite puzzled. I kept looking for some sort of quick reference, I would suggest that in any future version. However, I was happy to find a thorough User guide in the help section, it is huge and covers everything. I was able to set up one of the many provided templates pretty quickly after that. It will take me some time to figure out all of the features since I don’t have any experience in scrapbooking. However, I feel confident that this will come easily with some practice and time put in. All in all I like the iScrapbook 3 layout and will enjoy utilizing the various features such as special effects that can be applied to images, such as sepia, sparkle, motion, lenticular halo, and kaleidoscope. I will recommend it to friends.
I had my niece over who has digitally scrapbooked a lot. She sat down and looked it over, the first thing she said is “Why don’t see any basic instructions?” I showed her the extensive User Guide. She immediately started experimenting with all the different templates and color palettes. She was able to customize her graphics easily by adjusting the brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness, using the graphic tool. She seemed to enjoy the many ways to display text, and the ability to get very creative with all the options available, such as being able to spiral it. She got around the program easily and was impressed with the ease of iPhoto automatically loaded right on the side, and the ability to just select your photo and drag it right onto her newly created page. She’s putting it on her Christmas wish list.
