F10 Launch Studio In Depth

Wicked fast, completely unobtrusive, and pleasantly easy to use.

Stop digging around your hard drive and discover why F10 Launch Studio is fast becoming the must-have utility for professional and novice users alike.

No Setup Required
The first time you run F10 Launch Studio, the Auto-Discovery feature will automatically scan your hard disk(s) for applications. It then employs a built-in database to recognize your applications and categorize them accordingly. For example, it will automatically place word processors on the Productivity page, Chess on the Games page, and the Print Center on the Utilities page.
Create Your Own Categories
F10 Launch Studio comes with several pre-defined categories. You may change the pre-defined categories or even add your own. Since you can place the same application or document on more than one page, there's no limit to your organizational creativity.
Prefer Lists?
Some people like to view their files as icons, while others prefer lists. F10 Launch Studio gives you your choice on a category by category basis. This means your Show All page can be in List mode, while your Productivity page is in Icon mode.
Super-Size It!
F10 Launch Studio occupies the entire screen when visible and can thus display hundreds of applications and documents at once. Even at maximum capacity, the applications and documents are easy to identify. You can change the size of the icons from small to jumbo. The larger icons can be identified from across the room and over 40 jumbo-sized icons will fit on your screen at once.
Type A or Type B Personality?
Some people like their files neatly organized in alphabetical order. Others expect to find certain files always in the same physical place on the screen. For example, Adobe Photoshop in the upper left-hand corner of the Design page, followed by Adobe Illustrator, etc. If you work spatially, F10 Launch Studio won't box you in. Likewise, if you're the neat and tidy type, F10 Launch Studio will help you keep your files in sorted order. In fact, you have the option to sort by row or column in ascending or descending order. By the way, the List mode is very nice when sorted by column.
Launch It Fast!
F10 Launch Studio was designed to be the fastest launcher on the Mac and it delivers. For starters, if your hands are already on the keyboard, simply leave them there and press F10. Likewise, if your hand is already on the mouse, simply move the mouse pointer into a user-defined hot corner. Presto, the Launch Pad window instantly appears. With the Launch Pad present, all you have to do is click the file you wish to launch or use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select your desired file and press Return.
Want lightning-fast launches? The Chameleon Filter at the top of the Launch Pad let's you type short abbreviations to find and launch the file you're after. For example, type "pc" to launch the Print Center., type "ex" to launch Microsoft Excel, etc. The Chameleon Filter uses sophisticated adaptive logic to learn from your abbreviations as you use them. Suppose, for example, that the first time you use the Chameleon Filter you type "ex". As you type, the files on your screen will automatically filter so that Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, and My Excellent Vacation files are displayed. Internet Explorer will automatically be highlighted as the "best choice." If you click Microsoft Excel instead, the next time you type "ex", Microsoft Excel will automatically be highlighted as the "best choice."
Applications, Documents, & Folders
You're not limited to launching just applications with F10 Launch Studio. You can just as easily add documents, folders, and volumes to the different pages in the Launch Pad. If you click a document in the Launch Pad, it will launch the default application for that document and open the document. If you click a folder or volume in the Launch Pad, it will open that folder or volume in the Finder so you can access its contents—a handy feature when your desktop is covered by windows.

As F10 Launch Studio becomes an integral part of your computing experience, you'll want to customize the way it looks. F10 Launch Studio provides customization options for almost every aspect of its interface including colors, transparency, fonts, etc. So go crazy, and don't hold back.
