Chronos Releases SOHO Organizer, "The most powerful personal and business productivity suite for Macintosh"
Park City, Utah - December 19, 2005 -- Chronos LC today announced the release of SOHO Organizer, the official successor to the Macworld Eddy Award-winning Personal Organizer and Group Organizer. SOHO Organizer is designed for both individual and workgroup use and is a suite of four tightly integrated applications:

SOHO Contacts. The smartest way to manage and share contacts. Attach unlimited call logs, follow-up appointments, tasks, notes and documents to contacts. Universal synchronization lets users transfer contacts, calendars and notes to their Palm handheld, iPod, cell phone, etc.
SOHO Calendars. The easiest way to share calendars on Mac OS X. Shared calendars show up automatically in Apple's iCal. Create a company calendar and watch as changes made on one user's machine automatically show up in everyone else's iCal. Great for meetings, group projects and shared to-do lists.
SOHO Notes. The premier digital note-taking application for Macintosh. Use it to capture, organize, and share personal and workgroup information. It can store rich text, pdf's, images, files, movies, audio, bookmarks, and web archive notes. Synchronize notes between multiple computers, iPods, and Palm handhelds.
SOHO Print Essentials. The fastest way to produce professional-looking documents. Use it to design and print labels, envelopes, letterhead, fax covers, invoices, address books, etc. Mail merge is a snap. With its amazing design tools, users can easily customize documents with company logos, graphics, fonts, etc.

SOHO Organizer is a key member of Chronos' acclaimed small office/home office series and bears the identifying "SOHO" moniker.

THE OFFICIAL SUCCESSOR

SOHO Organizer is the official successor to Personal Organizer and Group Organizer and represents a 100% Cocoa rewrite of the former products. This means SOHO Organizer presents a first-class Mac OS X experience complete with all the features Mac OS X users expect: Aqua interface, Unicode compliance, built-in spell checking, Service support, etc. Finally, the true benefit of a complete Cocoa rewrite is that SOHO Organizer is built for the future and can easily accommodate future technologies (think Intel-based Macs).

SOHO Organizer makes managing customer relationships from phone calls and notes to appointments and to-dos easy. It embraces and leverages popular Mac OS X technologies and applications instead of trying to replace them. For example, it synchronizes seamlessly with Address Book and iCal so that users can continue to use them and other applications that rely on their data. Users can thus use Apple's iSync to synchronize contacts and calendars in SOHO Organizer to cell phones, iPods, Palm handhelds, and even .Mac.

NETWORKABLE

SOHO Organizer can be used by individuals and workgroups alike. It is based on a commercial client-server database for high-performance and reliability. SOHO Organizer makes sharing contacts, calendars, and notes over a network easy for workgroups. It features advanced administration so various members of the workgroup can be assigned different levels of access. Mobile users can even take shared data with them when they disconnect from the network so they always have access to the shared information. When they reconnect to the network, all of their changes to the shared data will automatically synchronize with the master shared database.

THE NEW STANDARD IN SYNCHRONIZATION

SOHO Organizer sets the gold standard for synchronization among organizer products, so users have access to their information everywhere. More specifically, it supports four different types of synchronization:

1) Multiple computer synchronization. Personal information will automatically stay synchronized between multiple computers using a .Mac account (must be purchased separately).
2) Offline synchronization. Mobile users can detach from a shared database with all their data and synchronize their changes when they return to the office network.
3) Handheld device synchronization. SOHO Organizer works with the synchronization technologies built-in to the Mac OS which means contacts and calendars can be synchronized to cell phones, Palm handhelds, iPods, etc. using Apple's iSync application. Notes can be synchronized to iPods and Palm handhelds using included software.
4) Universal synchronization. SOHO Contacts synchronizes seamlessly with the Mac OS X Address Book and iCal so contacts and calendars are available in applications that use data from these applications like email clients, accounting software, etc.

ABOUT THE SOHO SERIES

The SOHO Series is an integrated series of software solutions that are designed and written specifically for small office and home office users. Each product in the series is designed to work on its own and be "best-in-class." However, the true power of the SOHO Series shines through when the products are used together to create solutions that are greater than the sum of their individual parts.
