Park City, Utah - June 15, 2005 -- Chronos LC today announced the forthcoming release of two new products: SOHO Organizer and SOHO Notes. These two products are the latest members of Chronos' award-winning Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) Series of products which currently include SOHO Business Cards, SOHO Labels & Envelopes, and SOHO Art Pack.
ABOUT SOHO SERIES
The SOHO Series is an integrated series of software solutions that are designed and written specifically for small office and home office users. Each product in the series is designed to work on its own and be "best-in-class." However, the true power of the SOHO Series shines through when the products are used together to create solutions that are greater than the sum of their individual parts.
SOHO ORGANIZER
SOHO Organizer is the official successor to Personal Organizer and Group Organizer. Its core goal is to help small office and home office (SOHO) users easily manage their customer relationships from phone calls and notes to appointments and to-dos.
SOHO Organizer is a 100% rewrite of Personal and Group Organizer in Cocoa. This means SOHO Organizer will present a first-class Mac OS X experience complete with all the features Mac OS X users expect: Aqua interface, Unicode compliance, built-in spell checking, Service support, etc. Finally, the true benefit of a complete Cocoa rewrite is that SOHO Organizer is built for the future and can easily accommodate future technologies that Apple introduces (such as Intel-based Macs).
SOHO Organizer is powered by a commercial database engine to bring enterprise level performance and reliability to small businesses. While SOHO Organizer is perfectly suitable for a single user on a single machine, it can also be used by workgroups on a local area network or over the Internet using its proven client/server architecture. The communication between clients and servers is encrypted so workgroups can rest assured that their collaboration is secure.
SOHO Organizer embraces and leverages popular Mac OS X technologies and applications instead of trying to replace them. For example, It synchronizes seamlessly with the Address Book and iCal so that users can continue to use them and any other applications that rely on their data. Users can thus use iSync to synchronize their contacts, calendars, and tasks in SOHO Organizer to cell phones, Palm handhelds, and even .Mac.
SOHO NOTES
SOHO Notes is the first and only networkable note manager on Mac OS X for small businesses. Users can use it to store and share all the miscellaneous information that doesn't fit neatly anywhere else. It's ideal for anything that needs to be shared such as meeting notes, confidential company documents, employee handbooks, approved company artwork and logos, product plans, marketing campaign documents, etc.

Information in SOHO Notes is organized into a hierarchy of folders much like email is stored in a hierarchy of mailboxes by most email clients. SOHO Notes features an easy-to-use privilege system whereby an administrator can assign different levels of access to different users. A manager, for example, may have the ability to read and modify notes in a particular folder whereas her assistant can only read the notes, but not modify them.
Shared information in SOHO Notes resides on a server, but PowerBook users who disconnect from the network when they leave the office may still want access to the shared information. SOHO Notes lets users take an "offline" copy of the shared with them and then automatically synchronizes any changes made to their "offline" copy when they return to the network.
Similarly, a user may synchronize his/her personal or private information between multiple computers using the built-in synchronization capabilities of SOHO Notes (requires an Apple .Mac account). For example, a user who has two computers at home and one at work, may want to keep the same personal notes on all computers. The built-in synchronization capabilities ensure that all three computers will have all changes made on any of the computers.
