Park City, Utah - March 1, 2007 -- Chronos LC today announced the release of SOHO Organizer 5.7, an update to its personal and business productivity suite. SOHO Organizer is designed for both individual and workgroup use and this latest update represents a MAJOR MILESTONE in the complete rewrite of the former Personal and Group Organizer products that it replaces. SOHO Organizer 5.7 is a free update for registered SOHO Organizer 5.x users.
NEW FEATURES
New Super-Month View. The Super-Month view is more than a regular month view. Users can customize it to show a single month or multiple months at a time. This makes it possible to easily schedule events that cross month boundaries. Plus, users can choose whether they want to see multiple months displayed all at once in their window or whether they want to scroll through the months.
New Week View. The Week view lets users easily see from 5 to 14 days of their schedule at once. Plus, users can customize it to only show their work week. For example, if a user's standard work week is Monday through Friday, the Week view can be customized to display just those days.
New Event Display Option in Day View. The Day view now gives users two convenient options for displaying their events. The Hourly Schedule option shows all the hours in the day which makes it easy to locate free times. The Event List option shows a list of events for the day in the order they occur and thus provides a more succinct display option.
ENHANCEMENTS, OPTIMIZATIONS, FIXES
SOHO Organizer 5.7 also includes important enhancements, optimizations and bug fixes:
Added calendar view preferences so users can define their work week, control where dates and times appear, control whether week numbers are displayed, specify background images, etc.
Added preferences to control when tasks are hidden in the calendar views
Improved contact duplication
Added ability for backup files to be restored when double-clicked
